Cole Davis #14
Davis played hockey before turning his attention to rugby during high school where he played youth club rugby with the Calgary Saints.
Following high school, Davis jumped at the opportunity to compete in Australia at the Brumbies Academy, where he earned a spot on their U20s team. He also played for the Canberra Royals.
He caught Rugby Canada’s eye and led the international team to bring the winger back to compete for the country in both 7s and 15s. Davis earned five caps with the national XV squad, with all five of those caps coming in 2018. In his five games, Davis picked up two tries one against Brazil and the other against Chile.
Cole’s performance led to his Senior National XVs inclusion where he made his debut against the United States in Sacramento, California on February 10, 2018 in the Americas Rugby Championship. The last of his five tests was against Russia at Nepean on 16 June 2018.
Davis was a key member of the Canada 7s team looking towards the Olympics in 2021, although extended injury had kept him out of the lineup during the latter part of the 2020 season. Davis is capped for both the Canadian International 15s side and 7s World Series Squad.
