Uruguayan International, Andres Vilaseca joins the team

Austin Elite Rugby is proud to announce the signing of Uruguayan international Andres Vilaseca.

Andres began his professional career representing the U20 Uruguayan National team at the 2009 South American Rugby Championships and went onto play in the 2010 and 2011 Junior World Rugby Championship B. With an impressive junior career, Andres joined the Senior National team, where he was part of the 2015 Uruguayan Rugby World Cup squad.

With 44 caps and 10 tries to his name, Andres was part of the squad that saw Uruguay win the 2018 World Rugby Nations Cup.

“We are excited to have Andres join our team” said Alain Hyardet, Head Coach. “As a young player he will bring his passion and experience to the team”

The inside center joined an elite group of brothers, having played alongside his brother Santiago during the 2015 Rugby World Club.
