Hugh Roach Earns Man of The Match In Two-Try Outing

Hugh Roach adds two more tries to his tally, that’s five on the season from the hooker. When healthy, Hugh Roach has been a sparkplug for the AGs and he was certainly impressive on Sunday in Seattle.

Roach credits the team for both his tries on Sunday, “It was team plays that I was lucky enough to finish off, we did our homework throughout the week and we executed those plays and I was lucky enough to finish those tries off.”

Despite his humble deflection of praise, Roach’s stat line merited a deserving man of the match effort. He played 73 minutes and scored two tries on four carries; tallying 35 meters in attack. On defense, he added 14 tackles at a 93% made tackle percentage. He stole a lineout and added 10 ruck clearouts on the outing.
