Four AG Players Selected To USA Eagles Extended Squad

Congratulations to Will Magie, Bryce Campbell, Ruben De Haas, and Conner Mooneyham on their selection to the USA Rugby National Team extended squad.

Additional congratulations is in order as this is Conner Mooneyham’s first-ever invitation to the national team squad. The first overall draft pick in this year’s MLR collegiate draft has been in excellent form in his debut professional season and has certainly earned a shot at a red, white, and blue jersey.

“It’s been a dream of mine since I was a boy to be able to represent the country I was born in, to be able to compete for that opportunity now is humbling. I’m excited for the future,” says Mooneyham.

Magie, Campbell, and De Haas have a combined 75 caps between them, and each have been key starters for the AGs. AG Team Captain Bryce Campbell says, “It’s always an honor to have a chance to represent your country, and I think I can speak for all of the AGs when I say we’re ecstatic to see Conner Mooneyham’s name on that list and he’s such a competitor, he’s deserved that.”

De Haas joined the AGs just three weeks ago, and immediately made an impact on the field. He earned Ascension Seton Performance of the Night in his first-ever start for the AGs last week against LA.
