AG’s Captain Zinzan Elan-Puttick Out Two Weeks

March 4, 2020 (Austin, TX) Unfortunate news from AG’s camp, team captain and flyhalf Zinzan Elan-Puttick is expected to miss two weeks due to a shoulder injury suffered against Old Glory this Saturday in San Antonio.

Zinzan’s leadership and quick step helped the AG’s string together a stellar comeback effort on Saturday. In the 63rd minute of the match, the AG’s were deep in Old Glory territory as Zinzan scooped up a loose ball before charging into the defense. It was in this exchange that Zinzan’s shoulder was injured putting an early end to a solid outing for the team’s captain.

“It’s feeling much better,” says Zinzan Elan-Puttick in a post-match interview. “We’re rugby players, we pop it back in and live to see another day, hopefully it’s not too serious and I can be back next week.”

Zinzan will travel to Houston with the team this weekend as the AG’s battle with the Sabercats for the Texas Cup and is expected to be back by week 7 to face the Colorado Raptors.

“We all know how tough Zinny is, so he’ll be itching to get back on the pitch with the boys,” said teammate Mason Pedersen. “We need him, but we need him healthy.”
