AG Rugby Names Karbach Brewing As Official Craft Beer Sponsor

AUSTIN, TX (March 1, 2021) - AG Rugby, Austin’s Major League Rugby team, announced today their official partnership with Karbach Brewing for the 2021 season. The craft beer company, based out of Houston, will be the title sponsor on different activations, including an award and theme night this season.

“AG Rugby and Karbach brews go hand in hand,” said David Graham, Marketing Director from Karbach Brewing. “Just like at an AG Rugby game, everyone is welcome and going to have a good time. The team’s fun-loving spirit and determination are synonymous with Karbach’s philosophy to make a damn good craft beer that everyone can enjoy and have fun doing it.”

On Saturday, April 3, fans can watch AG Rugby take on the Houston Sabercats during the “Deep in the Heart of Texas” theme night presented by Karbach. Fans are encouraged to show off their Texas pride on April 3, when the first 1,000 folks will receive an AG drawstring bag provided by Karbach Brewing. That night, both teams will compete for their chance to win the Texas Cup presented by Karbach. The winning team will be presented with the cup and have bragging rights for the rest of the season as the Texas champs.

When fans enter the gates at Bold Stadium, located at Circuit of The Americas, they will be greeted by the well-known Hopadillo branding, which includes the iconic dry-hopped Texas IPA mascot, the Hopadillo. Fans can stop by the AMF (Austin Music Foundation) stage for a taste of Love Street, the brand’s classic blonde ale. Love Street is brewed in the Kolsch-style and hopped delicately with floral German hops.

The party doesn’t stop when the AGs aren’t in town. Karbach will also sponsor away-game watch parties, where fans will have the opportunity to take home an AG schedule magnet. Watch-party locations will be determined and posted right here on AGRugby.com.
