AG Rugby Selects Team For Texas Cup Pre-Season Preview

AUSTIN, TX (March 9, 2021) - This Thursday, the AGs load up the bus and ship off to Houston’s AVEVA Stadium for the second time in a six-day stretch to take on their Texas Cup Rival, the Houston Sabercats. Thursday’s 7 pm matchup will be a full 80-minute contest.

AG Assistant Coach Mark Gerrard says, “Playing two quality sides in a three-day stretch allows us from a coaching perspective to test out a few new combinations, but more so it guarantees all the boys a final chance to put their hand up for a starting spot in the matchday 23 ahead of the home opener.”

This Saturday, the AG’s take on the LA Giltinis on two days rest in a final pre-season match at home at Bold Stadium. Then it’s full go for the home-opener against Utah Warriors just 11 days away.
